Southern Girl Travel is a family business, operated by a former banker and an accountant (with a little help from three kids and a yellow lab).
Can you get anymore type A than that?
We’re Jennifer and Mark Newsome, and did we ever know a thing or two about stress. Mark’s the accountant and Jenn was a banker, and travel was our only refuge from hectic lives.
During a trip to Walt Disney World some years ago, our oldest daughter Veronica told Mark:
Daddy, I wish you were always this happy!
We knew it was time for a change.
Soon after that trip, Jennifer left banking adding her customer service and organizational skills to an adult lifetime of family travel planning. We then formed Southern Girl Travel so that every little girl could get to experience her folks relaxed, happy, and in touch with leisure on a trip to somewhere wonderful.
Mark continued on as an accountant, but fell in love with the travel business and now dedicates much of his time to that same goal of helping busy families get back in touch with leisure.
We have destinations we love, and we can’t wait to tell you all about them, but our passion is ensuring that your family has the chance to experience that happiness that only travel can bring.
