Is Club Mobay Worth the Cost?

It has gone on to become one of our most consistently visited posts, and we get frequent questions from readers about Club Mobay – an arrival and departure assistance service at Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

Sangster is one of the Caribbean’s busiest airports.

And seeing the massive lines that occasionally form to get through Immigrations and Customs will challenge that relaxed island vibe you worked up on the flight over to Jamaica.

When using Club Mobay you will be greeted at your arrive gate, escorted to the front of the Immigrations and Customs lines, settled into the Club Mobay arrival lounge for a drink and a few minutes of relaxation while waiting on ground transportation.

On departure, they’ll do the same in reverse, but you’ll be waiting in the Club Mobay departure lounge, which is similar to airline club lounges found in many airports around the world.

What will it cost?

Arrival and departure services with Club Mobay currently cost $80 for adults and $40 for kids 2 to 12. Children under 2 are free.

Is Club Mobay worth the cost?

It depends on your priorities. For our own personal travel, the cost is well worth the price.

Club Mobay has saved us hours in the past, and helped get us to Montego Bay’s beaches in record time. If you hit Sangster at an off time however when the crowds are low and the lines short, you may feel as if you’ve wasted money.

We often tell our clients if you are arriving or departing Sangster anytime between 10:00am and 3:00pm please seriously consider using Club Mobay. If you are arriving or departing outside of those busy times, while we still encourage it, skipping Club Mobay may not be too much of a risk.

We love anything that will cut transit time and have us enjoying the sun, the beaches, and the resorts as soon as possible.
