Epcot’s Japan Pavilion is one of our favorite spots at Walt Disney World.
It’s a beautifully designed, peaceful area with great vistas, wonderful food, and some of the most attentive cast members at Disney.
A meal in the Japan Pavilion even became the highlight of our very first Disney Date Night, on our first trip to Walt Disney World as a family.
The Japan Pavilion is also one of the best spots at Epcot to catch the Illuminations fireworks show!
It’s a great place to people watch…
And to let the kids loose with a camera.
We’re working on a more comprehensive guide to the Japan Pavilion, but until then check out some of these great posts from around the web:
The Disney Tourist Blog remains one of our favorite Disney sites. Over the last few years they have reviewed two of the restaurant choices in the Japan Pavilion, Tokyo Dining and Katsura Grill.
The Japan Pavilion’s restaurants, while always garnering strong reviews, tend to be overlooked by many Walt Disney World travelers. So, they are often great last minute choices if you’re lacking reservations at other venues.
You can check out a review of another Japan Pavilion restaurant, Teppan Edo, on the Disney Food Blog, which is always a crowd pleaser with the kids.
There’s a nice Wikipedia post.
