Since we started working with Sandals about 4 years ago, we’ve had the opportunity to visit Jamaica at least annually.
With each visit, we’ve enjoyed Jamaica more and more, she’s become increasingly familiar, and we’ve come to care about the country and her people.
Like many Caribbean nations, Jamaica and the South share more than a few cultural similarities.
While Jamaica has an amazing appeal that is totally foreign from our shores, there’s a feeling of home that will put you at ease and have you plotting your next Jamaican adventure before you’ve even made it home.
That’s why the path of Hurricane Matthew has us thinking of Jamaica this weekend. The path is uncertain now, but Jamaica may suffer a direct hit from what is now a powerful storm.
Think about Jamaica today, enjoy a few sunsets, sunrises, and colors from along her north shore taken during our recent visit to Sandal Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, and say a prayer for all the folks in Matthew’s path.
And don’t forget to:
Relax…you CAN get there from here!
